The now year old central bank mortgage rules halted massive price rises in housing last year.
A new survey published in yesterday's Irish Independent shows prices continue to surge in some parts of the country, but anywhere the cost exceeds 220,000 euro, is only seeing single digit rises.
According to the Irish Independent's survey house prices across the region have grown in 2015.

Waterford saw the biggest increase with a 15% jump - the average house price now stands at €242,000.
Wexford, Tipperary South, and Carlow saw an 8% increase - the average house stands at €175,000, €156,000, and €145,000 respectively.
Kilkenny saw the smallest increase in the region at 6% - the average house price now stands at €228,000
