A Kilkenny-based cyber security firm will double its workforce over the next 3 years.
Cyber security firm Business IT Solutions will create 20 new positions and the new recruits will double their workforce to 40 people.
The roles are being created to meet the demand for cyber security services.
Speaking to Beat news, BITS CEO Gavin Dixon, says there's an increase in demand for their services which is partly prompted by a need to address the challenges faced by companies moving to a hybrid working arrangement;
"We're definitely seeing a pent up demand for all of our services and obviously cyber security is a bigger part of that as remote working becomes less of a temporary fixture, and our client base is that SME business and that's probably where there needs to be more investment from those businesses in the boots on the ground to make sure everything is right."
He also says phishing emails and putting in a policy within a company for staff to recognise and handle them properly is an easy way to add to cybersecurity as the volumes of these emails continues to grow.
Dixon, says recruitment is already underway:
"At the moment, we've got a careers page on our website BITS.ie. We're immediately recruiting for tech support personnel for both helpdesk support and over the field services. But coming online further down the road you'll see other roles such as sales support, admin, business development but right now we are recruiting for the tech roles."
