2 men have died following separate collisions in Kilkenny and Tipperary this morning.
In Kilkenny, a man was killed following a three-vehicle collision between Thomastown and Inistioge at approximately 10:30 this morning.
The man, the lone occupant of the vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead en-route to University Hospital Waterford.
The road remains closed this afternoon with diversions in place, and anyone with information is asked to contact Thomastown Garda Station.
Meanwhile in Tipperary, a 78-year old man was killed after the car he was driving left the road and struck a concrete pier in Gortnahoe near Thurles
He was treated at the scene but died a short time later. His remains have been removed to University Hospital Waterford.
The road has been closed for forensic investigations, and local traffic diversions are in place.
