Pieta House has confirmed that some €2.1 million has been raised in the annual Darkness into Light event this year.
Some 200,000 people took part worldwide in the event on 12th May 2018 to raise awareness of the services that Pieta House provide.
The charity which offers counselling for those affected by suicide and self-harm was first set up in 2006 in Lucan and now boasts 270 therapists and administration staff across the country.
CEO, Brian Higgins posted a video to say thanks to all that took part and raised vital funds for the charity.
The walk and run through the early hours of the morning, into dawn, is now in its 10th year.
Walks were organised in 180 venues across Ireland and several more took place around the world.
