Energy and telecommunications company Gaeltec has announced 150 jobs in Kilkenny.
The company is working alongside SIRO, ESB and Vodafone, on the roll-out of the next phase of its fibre broadband network across Ireland.
The Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Leo Varadkar, has welcomed the announcement.
60 of the 150 new roles will support the roll-out of the next phase of its fibre broadband network across Ireland.
The project will see SIRO’s fibre broadband network reach 154 towns across Ireland and provide Gigabit broadband connectivity to 770-thousand premises within the next four years.
