TLC are making a final album and they're promising some "90s throwback music" which is "vintage TLC".
Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas fronted a Kickstarter campaign last year in order to make TLC's fifth and final album. It will be the girl band's first album since 3D in 2002 which was released soon after the death of their third member, Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopez in a car accident.
The girls had toured last year and will be appearing at a special 90s gig in New Jersey in March, also featuring Shaggy, C&C Music Factory, Ja Rule, Bobby Brown, Robin S and Naughty by Nature.
A&R producer Ron Fair is working with the band on the new album and says ‘It’s old soul music. It’s 90s throwback music. It’s vintage TLC and I can tell you that their vocals sound exactly the way they did the last time you heard them.’ Ne-Yo is also involved in producing the new album.
