Our Darren Rice has been a "sneakerhead" for over 25 years, it all kickstarted when he was bought his first pair of Air Jordan 7's at 9 years old in a local shop in Waterford.
His lifelong interest has seen him shoot the breeze in person with international superstars Ed Sheeran & Macklemore about the latest Nike's, spend thousands of Euro on official reproductions of the futuristic Nike Mag from Back To The Future II & also cut shoe deals with members of the famous Porsche motoring family.
Last week Kanye West dropped his latest Adidas collaboration - The Black / Red Yeezy 350 Boost.
Competition was crazy for these shoes, only a couple of hundred pairs were available on Irish shores & hopeful owners had to enter online raffles in just 3 retailers for a chance to buy.
Some even camped overnight on Dublin's freezing cold streets in a hope to pickup uncollected raffle pairs!
Darren hit the streets of Dublin to talk to some of the lucky (& not so lucky!) fans in an attempt to find out just why these these shoes are so hyped!
