Green Day are back in the studio and working on new music.
The band has been teasing their return since frontman Billie Joe Armstrong posted a studio pic back in January. This weekend, the singer posted a video to Instagram showing fans around their studio with drummer Tré Cool playing on steel pan drums.
The band hasn't released an album since the 2012 'Uno!', 'Dos!' and 'Tré!' album trilogy. Back in April 2015, long-time producer Rob Cavallo said that the band had been back in the studio and had recorded five tracks.
"Let me tell you, they were just fantastic. He is absolutely at the top of his game," Cavallo said at the time. "Fans can be sure that when they do return, the music will be amazing."
