It has been a big year for music with new artists emerging and old favourites making a comeback.
Let's reflect on 2017 in music by looking at all of the songs that reached No.1 in Ireland.
The first No.1 of the year was the song that held the Christmas No.1 spot in 2016 from Clean Bandit, Sean Paul & Anne-Marie.
By January 13th, Ed Sheeran had made an explosive comeback. He shot to the top of the singles chart with Shape of You and hung on there for eight weeks.
As St. Patrick's Day approached, Shape Of You was knocked from the top spot by none other than.... Ed Sheeran! Galway Girl moved into top position on March 10th and hung on there for two weeks.
However, on March 24th, Shape Of You moved back into the top spot and hung on there for another six weeks - giving the song a total of fourteen weeks at No.1.
Finally, on the 5th of May, we had a bit of a break from Ed as the song of the summer, Despacito, climbed into the No.1 spot and stayed there for pretty much the entire summer - 15 weeks in total.
On August 18th, Dua Lipa had her first No.1 single with New Rules.
Dua spent eight weeks in total at No.1, but was knocked off the perch for one week on September 1st by Taylor Swift's comeback, Look What You Made Me Do.
Post Malone moved into the No.1 position on the Irish charts with Rockstar on October 20th and stayed there for two weeks.
Camila Cabello took over the top spot on November 3rd with Havana and stayed on top for five weeks.
The final No.1 of the year in Ireland went back to Ed Sheeran and his various interpretations of Perfect. It went to No.1 on December 8th and stayed there until Christmas.
