Hailed as the “biggest new rock act in the world” by Rolling Stone, 5 Seconds of Summer have released the official music video for their latest single, ‘Jet Black Heart’ out now through Capitol Records.
‘Jet Black Heart’ shows off the vocals that have won the hearts of millions of fans all over the world. Mikey says, “Jet Black Heart is my favourite song on the album. I’m really proud of it. It’s kinda like a curveball song for us - I don’t think people expected us to have a song like that. That one’s rockin’ out, balls out, well rocky!”.
The new single is the third track to be released from the band’s global No.1 album ’Sounds Good Feels Good’, which stormed straight onto the top spot in the Irish Albums Chart when released back in October this year. With the album also topping the U.S. Billboard Chart, UK album Chart and the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, the band become the third Australian act in history to have simultaneous No.1 albums in the UK, U.S. and Australia and the only band in history (not vocal group) to see their first two full-length studio albums debut at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 Chart. As well as reaching No.1 here in the UK, the U.S. and their home country Australia the band’s second album debuted at No.1 in eight other countries around the world!
The band also recently released their first documentary/concert film, ‘How Did We End Up Here?’ which takes you through an up close and personal journey of how the guys have become one of the biggest bands of today. It is the band telling their story, their way and includes some amazing footage recorded live from one of the Wembley Arena shows during the 2015 tour.
