There are tonnes of amazing Aussie bands filling venues down under with their cool sounds.
Being on the other side of the world, it’s not too often that we get to hear their new and upcoming talent on our shores.
So, as part of Foster’s Fridays we've trawled the internet for the very best Australia has to offer right now:
Tame Impala
Today’s psych-rock Kings have had critics drooling since the release of their debut, “Innerspeaker”, in 2011. Since then, the Kevin Parker-led quartet has dominated festival stages from Glastonbury to Lollapalooza.
Kingswood
This Melbourne rock band released their second studio album “After Hours, Close To Dawn” in March. Their first release, “Creepin” dropped last year before making waves around Australia.
The Griswolds
Hailing from Sydney, this four-piece indie rock band has become a staple part of the Aussie music. Not only have they climbed the charts down under, but have also broken the Billboard Top 200 with their 2014 album “Be Impressive”.
DMA’s
Australia’s answer to Oasis, the DMA’s were first formed in 2012. The songwriting trio have already conquered down under and are set to hit Europe across Spring/Summer 2017.
Pond
Originating from the same scene as Tame Impala, the outfit have been labelled ‘The Hottest Band in the World' by NME. Their latest effort, “The Weather”, features the stellar single, Sweep Me Off My Feet. Funnily enough, the band's bassist, Shiny Joe Ryan, comes from Tipp - who knew?
Safia
This indie-pop band formed in Canberra and released their debut album in 2013. Their success shows no signs of slowing down with the announcement of Safia as the opening act for 21 Pilots Australian & New Zealand tour this year.
San Cisco
Originally formed in 2009 under the name King George, this indie pop band has toured throughout America and Europe. Their newest single “SloMo” released in November 2016, has already been viewed over 100,000 times.
Maefire
Formed from the dissolution of two former bands, this Melbourne band has become highly commended across the Australian music scene due to their fresh sound and image.
RÜFÜS
Nothing screams summer like RÜFÜS. Melding UK Garage with pop-focused melody, RÜFÜS’ A-game is how effortless their music sounds. Think Disclosure, à la Bondi Beach.
