Scientists analysed a year's worth of phone records for 3.2 million customers from a European phone company.
They found that after a peak of calls at 25, your regular social connections nosedives until you hit 45.
Most people have regular phone contact with around 15 people every month.
That's around the same number we see face to face each month, which implies that we're not becoming less sociable because of mobile phones.
