If this 999 call is anything to go by it seems some would go to extreme lengths to coax their partner into showing affection.
According to The Metro, an emergency call handler in Lincolnshire has reported an instance in which a female caller pleaded for assistance because her boyfriend wouldn't kiss her.
The info has been disclosed by police forces in the UK in an effort to stop people from wasting precious emergency services time.
It goes without saying that this is not a police matter, but it hasn't stopped Brits dialling emergency services with even more bizarre questions.
One reported incident involved a woman needlessly ringing hundreds of times over the Christmas period last year, declaring "I don't give a shit about anyone else."
Other calls included one person asking for a dentist's contact details and another asking for train times.
