The most popular words to bag a tinder match have been revealed.
Wordfinder, a tool from YourDictionary dissected over 2,000 Tinder bios and found that certain words can up your chances of a match.
- “Love” (21% men, 25.7% women)
- “Music” (19.4% men, 24.4% women)
- "Relationship” (17.6% men, 23.3% women)
- "Travel” (16.2% men, 20% women)
- "Adventure” (14% men, 15.3% women)
- "Gym” (14.5% men, 13.5% women)
- "Drink” (15.1% men, 12% women)
- "Sports” (14.5% men, 12% women)
- "Netflix” (13.5% men, 12.5% women)
- "Car” (11.1% men, 13.1% women)
Certain emojis were also preferable, with coffee, pizza and music emojis considered friendly, while the aubergine emoji, poop emoji and kiss emoji were considered to be red flags
It was also found that blank bios, overly political bios or fake job titles were offputting to swipers, and almost 20% of tinder users were not keen on "couples looking for a third". Although it's often mentioned in Tinder bios, height actually didn’t make the list of green or red flags
Tinder recently celebrated its tenth anniversary. In spite of its popularity among Irish singletons it was recently found to be the most hated app in Ireland.
