Tayto suffers shock early exit in World Cup of Crisps

Ireland is in mourning this afternoon after Tayto Cheese and Onion suffered a shock early exit in the World Cup of Crisps.

Over 250,000 people have voted in the tournament featuring 42 crisps in all, which is being run by UK TV presenter Richard Osman on Twitter.

Tayto finished in joint 2nd in its group, but lost to Walkers Smokey Bacon by the narrowest of margins in a sudden death playoff, 51% to 49%.

Tie-break time for group 4. A 10 minute shootout between the tied crisps. Most votes will qualify for the next round
