A new survey has found that the traditional Irish baptism has become an expensive affair.
The research, conducted by One4all, shows a third of people surveyed expect to spend 250 to 500 euro on the party, while a further 14 per-cent will spend over 500 euro.
Meanwhile, fashion plays a big part - a quarter spend up to 100 euro on a new Christening gown and over 1 in 4 parents admit to spending up to 200 euro on themselves for the do.
