Children in the South East are being warned to be on their best behaviour after Santa Claus was spotted doing the first of his trial runs yesterday.
The news came from the Gardai who spotted Santa and his reindeer at a checkpoint near Ferrybank in Waterford. It is believed that this was the first in a series of trial runs for Santa's Christmas delivery run on Christmas Eve.
In the photo released by the Gardai, Santa and the reindeer can be seen flying over the River Suir in Waterford City.

Santa is known to complete a number of test runs in order to check out newly built houses and housing estates and also any route changes since last Christmas.
