"The bigger the better."
That was allegedly the slogan of a promotion ran by an Australian bar, offering free alcoholic beverages to women based on their bra size.
9News Australia reports that Woolshed on Hindley, a bar in Adelaide, was offering one complimentary drink to women with an A cup, two drinks to B Cups, three drinks for C cups and so on. Women were also being asked to "hand over their bras" in exchange for the free beverages.
The bar has now been fined €2339 by the liquor licensing regulator for running a gender-based, "lewd promotion", which is prohibited by Australian consumer law.

According to 9News Australia, Liquor and Gambling Commissioner Dini Soulio said that while "theme nights can be a great way for licensed venues to attract customers, there must be appropriate standards, which is why the General Code of Practice for liquor license holders has clear standards in place. Gender based promotions-including those that objectify people-are not only out of line with community expectations, but are in breach of this code."
Following complaints made about the promotion on social media, the venue issued an apology to customers saying "We sincerely apologise for the fact that the post made some of our patrons feel uncomfortable and body-shamed as this was never our intention. Moving forward senior management will be reviewing all promotional activity to ensure that it created an inclusive environment for all our patrons."
