An Irish man has gone viral for interrupting a French TV interview to say he is "a baguette."
Eddie O' Keefe, from Limerick, was attending the World Cup in Qatar and debuted his French language skills when he spotted a TV crew.
"Je suis une baguette" he shouted into the camera. The reporter replies "Il est Irlandais. Il est K.O.il est raide," which roughly means, "He is Irish, he is wasted."

Eddie is currently working in Dubai and is reported to have attended the France-Denmark World Cup match last Saturday night. It was in the aftermath of this match he made his bold statement to a reporter on French sports channel "L'Equipe".
Eddie's video has gained more than 4 million views on Twitter alone, and French President Emmanuel Macron has even liked a tweet of the video. The footage has been shared by public sporting figures such as Gary Linekar as well.
Numerous Twitter users have expressed their admiration of Eddie and the video, with CEO of the Irish Immigration Council, Brian Killoran writing "I think I speak for all of Ireland when I say I want him to know we are all proud of him."
Eddie's declaration is very timely, as the French baguette has just been awarded UNESCO heritage status
