With less than a week to the big day, there will likely be more than a few trips to the supermarket for most households this week.
Many supermarkets have altered their opening hours and warned customers not to leave it too late to purchase essential items.
Below are the opening hours for the main supermarket stores in the South East.
Tesco
All Tesco stores will open at 7 am this week, with some stores remaining open until after midnight.
On Saturday, December 24th, Tesco will open at the earlier time of 6 am and will close at the earlier time of 7 pm.
All stores will close for Christmas Day but will re-open on St. Stephen's Day from 10 am.

Aldi
Aldi stores nationwide will open from 8 am-11 pm Monday, December 19th-Friday December 23rd.
On Christmas Eve Aldi will open at 8 am but close at the earlier time of 7 pm.
Aldi stores will be closed on Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day. They will re-open on December 27th at 9 am.
Lidl
From Monday, December 19th-Friday December 23rd, Lidl stores will open at 8 am and close at 10 pm.
Stores will have shorter hours on Christmas Eve, opening at 8 am and closing at 6 pm.
All Lidl stores will be closed on Christmas Day, St. Stephen's Day and New Year's Day.
After Christmas stores will re-open on December 27th at 9 am.
Supervalu
With individual management in each store, Supervalu branches will operate different opening hours nationwide.
Some stores will open at 7 am this week, and remain open until 00.00. In general, on Christmas Eve, Supervalu stores are open from 8 am until 8 pm. They will be closed on Christmas Day and will resume business at 10 am on St. Stephen's Day.

Dunnes Stores
As with Supervalu, each Dunnes Stores branch will run individual opening hours.
Some stores will extend opening hours until midnight this week, but all branches will be closed for Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day.

Iceland
Each Iceland store will operate individual opening hours as well. In general, stores will open at 8 am Monday-Friday this week, and close at 9 pm. Some stores will operate later opening hours on December 22nd and 23rd, and the majority will be closing by 6 pm Christmas Eve.
All Iceland stores will be closed for Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day and will re-open at 8 am Tuesday, December 27th.
