A TikTok star has passed away suddenly at just 21 years of age, her heartbroken parents have announced.
TikTokker Megha Thakur had amassed almost 1 million followers and 32 million likes on the platform where she promoted body positivity.
Thakur passed away suddenly in the early hours of November 24th, but the news has only now been announced by her parents in a touching tribute.
"It is with heavy hearts we announce the light of our life, our kind, caring, and beautiful daughter, Megha Thakur, who suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on 24 November 2022 in the early morning hours. She loved her fans and would have wanted you to know of her passing", the announcement read.
"At this time, we request your blessings for Megha. Your thoughts and prayers will be with her in her onward journey."

Local reports indicate the content creator was involved in a road traffic collision, however that has not been confirmed by authorities.
Hundreds of fans have since posted on Thakur's final TikTok which shows her walking around the streets of New York.
"I am crying. I DM’d her once for a model job and she replied so kindly. She was on her way to walk Milan, ny fashion week…everything", said one.
Another follower commented: "I am in disbelief. I’ve rarely ever shed tears for someone I’ve looked up to on social media, but I’m crying as I type this. I don’t know what to say."
A third said: "I'm still in shock. Life is so short. One minute ur here and then ur gone, rest in peace queen."
A private funeral was held for Thakur on Tuesday, November 29th last.
