Have you a fake tree up in your sitting room? Outdoor lights hanging up on the house? Well, I hate to break it to you but that makes you a little bit tacky.
That's according to an etiquette expert, as they have revealed what Christmas decorations make you tacky.
William Hanson told The Sun the dos and don'ts in relation to the placement, quality, and festiveness of some holiday decor.
Apparently, fake Christmas trees are a no-no as they never appear to sell the aspect of a real one. Hanson also says that wrapping tinsel around any tree is the 'antichrist of decorations'.
Another top tip is to NOT overdo it. You should never put too many baubles, lights, or tinsel on a tree because in the end, you won't actually get to see the tree. Remember, less is more!
Moving to the outside, many homes around the South East have lights hanging on trees, rooftops and gates. But, etiquette expert William Hanson says outdoor lights are nearly always seen 'in non-desirable neighborhoods'.
And if you do choose to put them up, use clear lights, and definitely not multi-coloured.
I think we can make an excuse for this spectacular display in Co Carlow.

The final decor on the list of tackiness is candles. But not just any type of candle, Yankee Candles.
Hanson says people should avoid them at all costs, as 'there is never a time or a place for a Yankee Candle.'
The only time necessary for candles over the festive season is in the evening, as you don't want to be smelling Cinnamon when eating your Turkey & Ham.
So there you have it, will you reconsider some of your Christmas decor, or is yours simply fine the way you have it?
