Ireland's wettest and sunniest towns have been revealed.
The well known nickname, the 'Sunny South East' is not without its merits, as Rosslare, County Wexford gets the most sunshine in the country.
On the opposite end of the scale, according to research by the Irish Independent, Newport County Mayo is the wettest.
The volume of rain that hits the Western town is more than double that of weather stations located in Dublin.
