The role: Bookkeeper
Due to continued expansion JJ Byrne & Co Accountants in Kilkenny City requires a Permanent Full-Time Bookkeeper to join our team.
The ideal candidate will ensure that they represent the firm professionally and efficiently at all times to clients and colleagues. The successful candidate will be someone who exerts a flexible approach with the ability to work on their own initiative without supervision.
Salary: Depending on Experience
The main duties will include:
- Bookkeeping
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns.
- Processing payroll and submitting returns to Revenue
- Debtor and creditor reconciliations
- Ad hoc admin duties
Skills & Knowledge Required
The successful candidate for this role must have:
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Bookkeeping, experience within a practice is advantageous.
- Advanced computer skills are essential: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills
- Accounting Technician Certificate would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent office skills with ability to multitask and excellent attention to detail
