FLI Precast Solutions Ltd. are recruiting a Maintenance Electrician to join our busy and growing Maintenance team at our manufacturing facility in Kilnock, Ballon, Co. Carlow. This role is part of a wider team and reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on the various equipment.
- Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support to the operation of the manufacturing process and utility systems.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance routines.
- Carry out all planned and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner reducing impact on production.
- Electrical installation of plant equipment and machinery on site and carrying out diagnostics and repair of malfunctioning equipment following schematic drawings and procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
- Carry out electrical service and electrical installation throughout the facility.
- Provide technical support.
- Plan and participate, where necessary, in co-ordination of project works and planned shutdowns.
- Support production team in achieving targets.
- Repairs to mechanical and control systems equipment including pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Co-operate and participate in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
- Minimal breakdown recovery time.
- Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations on site.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Facilities and Maintenance Manager or their designees.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Electrical trade qualification essential.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Mechanical/electrical background an advantage.
- Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance.
- Experience in industrial electrical installation an advantage.
- Experience in control panel wiring and systems an advantage.
- Team player with the ability to work on own initiative also.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
