Vacancy Credit Control Officer Part-time (4 – day)

Enniscorthy Credit Union is currently recruiting for the role of Credit Control Officer.  This is a 4-day 12-month fixed term contract.

The Credit Controller​ Officer reports to the Head of Credit Control and is responsible for the progressive implementation and adherence of our credit union’s credit control policy and procedures, ensuring the provision of an efficient service to our very valued members and minimising the number of accounts in arrears. This role will aid the monitoring of members accounts to ensure the effective collection of outstanding debts.

Enniscorthy Credit Union is dedicated to delivering exceptional value and service to our members, which we have been providing for 60 years. Enniscorthy Credit Union operates 4 offices in Abbey Square, Ballymurn, Murrintown and Taghmon. The successful candidate will be primarily based in the Abbey Square office but may be required to work in other locations (Ballymurn, Murrintown and Taghmon).

The working days will be between Monday to Saturday with a requirement to work every second Saturday. The weekly hours will be 26 hours.

This role would ideally suit a candidate with previous credit control experience who would like to gain valuable experience within the Financial Services sector.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-today credit control activities and daily work on member account lists.
  • Meeting members, conducting and assessing financial reviews with a view to developing tailored repayment plans.
  • Monitor, maintain and record repayment agreements
  • Build good relationships and ensure members continue to feel
  • Identify changes in payment patterns and act accordingly to reduce the risk of bad
  • Be aware of and compliant with Credit Union internal policies, processes and legislative
  • Resolve member queries in a timely
  • To Liaise with third parties i.e. Solicitors, MABS, PIPs
  • Other office duties as

Requirements:

  • QFA qualification preferred (or working towards the qualification)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • Two year's relevant Credit Union experience would be an
  • Previous Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process (MARP) knowledge and experience beneficial.
  • Analytical skills with strong attention to
  • Experience in negotiating payment
  • Ability to work as part of a
  • Good IT skills, particularly MS excel,
  • Strong organisational and time management
  • Flexible and responsive to changing business
  • The ability to identify and deliver process
