Junior Machinery Sales Person
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a junior machinery sales person to join our Agri-Machinery Dealership. This role is based at our premises in Enniscorthy and is a great career opportunity for anyone that is interested in machinery and wanting to build a career in sales. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of tractors & farm machinery & have a keen interest in sales and online sales support through online and social media platforms.
Personal Characteristics:
- A proactive, confident and ambitious nature;
- Fully proficient in IT, updating website, social media, accounts packages & CRM systems;
- Professionalism when engaging with customers, suppliers and colleagues;
- Self-motivation and an ability to independently structure a productive schedule;
- Negotiation skills;
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Progress sales leads from initial enquiry through to closure;
- Tractor / Machinery demonstrations to support sales;
- Value trade-ins, initially in conjunction with your sales colleagues / managing director;
- Ensure any after sales issues raised by a customer are attended to;
- Cultivating the customer base and always looking for new opportunities for sales;
- Promoting sales through our various on line sales channels eg website, done deal, social media;
- Attendance at machinery shows, setting up displays;
- Tractor / Machinery demonstrations to support sales;
- Liaise as required with suppliers regarding specification, price, aftersales issues, etc.;
- Adhere to company sales procedures and policies including sale sheets, finance documentation, credit policy, etc;
- Maintain a sales diary on our CRM system;
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous sales experience would be preferable but not essential.
- Advertising or marketing experience would be an advantage
- Familiarity with driving a tractor / using farm machinery is essential
- Financial awareness is expected so as to be able to calculate costs and margins
- An ability to document deals, maintain customer records and use of IT tools is required. Being at ease with technology and business software is expected.
Remuneration:
- Basic Salary of €25,000 - €35,000 p.a., depending on experience;
- Commission, calculated as a percentage of the profit made on deals;
- Employer Pension contributions (6 months after start date);
- Use of Company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone;
