Our core business is the assembly, drying and marketing of grain. An important part of this is the
supply of seed, fertiliser, and agrochemicals to our tillage customers. We provide high quality crop
agronomy and animal nutrition advisory service to all customers.
The Cooney Furlong Grain Co is now inviting applications for the role of Branch Operative. This is a
full-time permanent role to be based in New Ross.
Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Counter Sales
• Ensuring customers are assisted & served in the store & yard in timely manner
• Provide advice & information on agri products to customers
• Stock control and merchandising
• Ordering Stock & Organising Customer Deliveries in a timely fashion
• Support the branch manager with the daily running of the store & yard
• Generating new ideas and promotions for the store
• Evaluate a customer’s needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
Requirements for the role:
Showing a real passion for customer focus, innovation, and ability to make tough decisions will
enable you to thrive in a role that is challenging and demanding - achieving targets for business
growth, increased sales, operating standards, and colleague development and performance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous experience in working in an Agri Supplies or Construction Supplies store would be an advantage
• Practical, pleasant & energetic with ability to work on own initiative & as a team member
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to organise tasks in order of priority
• Adaptable
Remuneration:
