Castle Timber Design Ltd is one of Ireland’s leading timber frame and roof truss manufacturers. Situated in Kilrane, Rosslare, Co. Wexford, within close proximity to Rosslare Europort, an ideal location to service both Ireland and UK markets. Our premises comprise of a 30,000 sq ft manufacturing facility on a 4 acre site with a fully concreted yard space, ideal for such bulky products as timber frame and roof trusses. We have a purpose built 3,000 sq ft of office space on-site.
About the job
We are looking for an experienced designer to join our busy team. The candidate will be responsible for designing timber frame structures, roof trusses and metal-web joists in a busy manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that established design standards are consistently and appropriately applied.
- Engage with management, engineering and clients to understand project requirements.
- Develop and present working drawings for manufacture.
- Work in conjunction with external manufacturers and suppliers and the internal production team.
Qualifications
- A qualification in Architectural Technology and a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience using Auto-Cad or a similar package.
- Software training will be provided for truss and metal-web design software.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Teams.
