Following on from their triumphant set at Electric Picnic last weekend and in what has been an incredible year for the indie rock quartet from Westmeath, The Academic have just unveiled their first ever official music video for ‘Mixtape 2003’ and also just announced a run of dates in Ireland this coming December.
Causing no small amount of fuss wherever they have gone recently and an ever increasing legion of fans, the hotly tipped young band have been making waves ever since the release of their debut EP 'Loose Friends’ late last year which included the smash hit and Choice Music Prize nominated 'Different' and most recent single ‘Mixtape 2003’
Clocking up the miles touring across the UK and Europe this summer with notable appearances at Reading Festival and the aforementioned Electric Picnic, the band return to Irish shores this December to play Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. Tickets are on sale now.
