The Beat On The Street returns for Summer 2017!
We're throwing a massive street party in Gorey on Friday August 4th as part of the Gorey Market House Festival. We've got the hottest lineup in the country, and the good news is.... it's completely FREE!
Our lineup this year includes:-
THE ACADEMIC
The Academic have been one of the most exciting bands in Ireland for the last few years and they're about to explode internationally with the release of new music shortly. The band has over six million plays on Spotify and they impressed at SXSW in Texas earlier this year, playing six shows in five days.
JOHN GIBBONS
John Gibbons has had one of the anthems of 2017 with P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing), which is heading for 20 million plays on Spotify. It follows on from his 2016 summer smash, Would I Lie To You? John has gigged all over the world, and recently supported Justin Bieber outdoor at the R.D.S. John is also on the bill for the Tennants Vital Festival in Belfast, playing alongside Clean Bandit, Robin Schulz and Tiesto.
CHASING ABBEY
One of the hottest new bands to emerge in Ireland in 2017, Chasing Abbey have been tearing up the charts and dominating radio play with their single That Good Thing. The song was the most shazamed song in Ireland for a number of weeks and is heading for half a million plays on Spotify.
FIT FOR KINGS
Fit For Kings are a five piece indie/rock band from Wexford. The band has honed its sound with catchy melodies, intricate instrumentation and energetic live performances. The band recently were Play Irish Artist of the Week on Beat with their new single Talk The Talk, and they were the outright winner of the Irishbeats Battle of the Bands in 2016.
DJ CHRIS WARD
Chris is our Old Skool king every Friday night on Beat, playing four hours of classics on the Old Skool Party. A busy summer of gigs ahead for Chris, and he'll be banging out the Old Skool Anthems on our stage at the Beat on the Street.
