WATCH: Another trailer for Stephen King's It remake is terrifying people

A second trailer for the new big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s It aired last night during the MTV Awards.

The good/bad news is - it's just as terrifying as the first trailer.

Stephen King's "It" is often considered to be the best horror novel ever written and the original tv miniseries traumatised a generation.

The new movie, which will be released in September, takes the first half of the original 1986 novel and tells the story of a group of young outcasts in a small town who rise up against a shapeshifting evil that feeds on fear and has claimed countless lives over the ages.

It's scariest form is Pennywise the Clown who was originally played by Tim Curry and features Bill Skarsgård in the new adaptation.

If the new movie is a success, a sequel is planned for the second half of the book with the (surviving) grown-up children returning to confront Pennywise the Clown one last time.
