Mock the Week has been cancelled by the BBC after 17 years.
The current affairs comedy show, hosted by Irish comedian Dara O'Brian, will end after this autumn's series.
Wicklow comic O'Brian says 'We just couldn't be funnier than the news was already.'

The show was regular shown on BBC, Comedy Central and Dave, with the comedy programme kind of fitting a lot of modern-day styles into one show, with a panel of stand-up comedians doing their best to be funny about the wacky and sometimes serious news of the world.
Stand-out elements of the show were the `Wheel of News' and `Picture of the Week'.
The show's been credited with boosting the profile of comedians like John Bishop, Sarah Millican and Kevin Bridges early in their careers.
