We’re celebrating Foster’s Fridays and with that in mind, we have decided to have a look at our favourite Aussie Celebs. So, if you’re kicking back watching your favourite Aussie actor or listening to your favourite Aussie singer make sure to have a Foster’s in your hand.

Whether they began their career on stage or in a soap opera, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have one thing in common - their nationality. Australian actors have graced our screens in a variety of films, creating some of the most memorable moments in movie history.

And you know what? We're only delighted for the Ozzies and their stellar acting chops. So much so that we've teamed up with Foster’s to look back at the greatest scenes by their finest actors. 

  1. Heath Ledger- The Joker

Starting his career in Australian television, Ledger quickly made himself known in the industry. His finest performances include 10 Things I Hate About You, The Patriot and Brokeback Mountain.  But it would be one of his final performances, as The Dark Knight's Joker, which would become his most iconic.

  1. Paul Hogan- That’s not a knife

Crocodile Dundee completely changed the way we saw Australians when it graced our screens back in 1986. Writer, creator and actor, Paul Hogan, made one of the most memorable Aussie performances in film history with the hilarious “That’s not a knife” scene.

After training as an actress in both Australia and the U.S, this Australian comedian, actress and writer shot to fame with her ridiculously entertaining performance as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect. Her entrance into the film franchise shows the perfect way to put down bullies.

Since debuting on Home and Away in 1994, Isla Fisher has cemented her place in Hollywood with several box office films. From Confessions of a Shopaholic to The Great Gatsby, her memorable performances have grossed massively over the years.  Her near death experience in Now You See Me, however, goes down as her best performance to date.

Abandon everything you know to be true! Accepted by many as Australian, Nicole Kidman was actually born in Hawaii. Who knew? Still, that doesn't mean the expat isn’t on our list. Her biggest films include Moulin Rouge, Eyes Wide Shut and The Hours.  Here is the remarkable train station scene that gained her an Oscar for her role as Virginia Woolf in The Hours.

Sydney's Hugh Jackman has deservedly become one of Hollywood's biggest stars. His theatre work and roles in The Prestige and Les Misérables have helped him garner international recognition, but his monumental role as Wolverine in the X-Men series catapulted his career to a whole new level.
