"5th Beatle" Passes Away

Sir George Martin, known as the "Fifth Beatle", has died aged 90.

Writing on Twitter Ringo Starr confirmed the news.

Record producer Sir George, who worked with Shirley Bassey and Cilla Black, signed the Beatles and produced more than 700 records.

Sean Ono Lennon and Liam Gallagher have been leading tributes to Sir George on social media.
