Hot Irish actors Saoirse Ronan (27) and Paul Mescal (25) have been cast as the lead actors in upcoming sci-fi movie Foe.
Created by Amazon Studios, the movie will be based on a novel by Iain Reid, and follows a married couple confronted by a mysterious stranger in a dystopian future. Paul’s "Junior" and Saoirse’s "Hen" will be shown living a solitary life on their farm in a near future, where environmental decay is destroying the planet.
While Oscar nominee Ronan is no stranger to the big screen, this will be Mescal's first leading role in a feature film. The Normal People actor has made his movie debut only recently in Maggie Gyllenhaal's The Lost Daughter with Olivia Colman and Dakota Johnson
Foe is to begin filming in Australia early next year and will also star British actor Aaron Pierre.
