A new survey by Co-op Funeralcare is out and it has revealed some pretty interesting choices when it comes to our 'final' farewell.
Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone has overtaken Frank Sinatra's My Way as the most-played funeral song. The song, long associated with Liverpool FC, has been played at an estimated 9,500 funerals in the past year.
There were also some unexpected entries in the #FuneralMusic chart. They include W.A.P by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, Girl On Fire by Alicia Keys, F*** Forever by Babyshambles, Ha Ha You're Dead by Green Day, and Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead from The Wizard of Oz.
The chart also featured some upbeat new entries including Tina Turner's Simply The Best and The Chain by Fleetwood Mac.
The wait is over! Topping our #FuneralMusic chart for 2021 is.....

Speaking about the chart Sam Tyrer, Co-op Funeralcare, said: "The songs we choose for a funeral all hold unique and personal meaning for ourselves and loved ones but naturally some songs remain more popular than others."
He continued: "Each element of a funeral is a very personal choice and we're encouraging the nation to be more open about their funeral wishes, music is a really simple and comforting place to start."
Each year the charts show the UK's most popular farewell songs, which Co-op says "provides inspiration for anyone arranging a funeral now or thinking about what music they'd like at their own funeral."
What would be your choice?
