A release date has been announced for the TV drama ‘Redwater’, which was filmed in Dunmore East, Co. Waterford last year.
The first episode will air on May 18th at 8pm, on BBC.
The TV series is a spin-off from the popular BBC soap, Eastenders.
The drama will take a look at Alfie and Kat’s life post-Albert Square and will follow Kat as she searches for her long-lost son.
There are many Irish stars cast in the new series, including well-known actress, Fionnuala Flanagan and ‘Orphan Black’ star, Maria Doyle Kennedy.
The show is written and produced by the writers of ‘Eastenders’ and this is to be the first time that two characters from a major British soap have been given their own spin-off show.
