The new host of Love Island has reportedly been confirmed.
According to The Sun, Maya Jama is set to succeed Laura Whitmore as presenter of the popular dating show and is finalising a contract with the TV Network.
It comes as Wicklow native Whitmore announced she was stepping down from hosting duties in August saying that she found the intense amount of travel involved “very difficult”.
Maya Jama has become one of the biggest presenters in the UK hosting shows such as Walk The Line, Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star and Soccer Aid.
An ITV source told The Sun “Maya was ITV’s dream option.
“She is fun, beautiful and a brilliant presenter.
“She was discussed as a possible replacement for Caroline two years ago — but now the time is right."
The UK presenter is set to host the winter version of the dating show which is said to return to South Africa in January.
