Over the weekend, the band gradually deleted their online presence, with all Tweets and Facebook posts disappearing - their website also slowly faded to nothing.
Then, in the early hours of this morning, they posted a stop-motion Instagram video of a bird chirping.
It's thought it could be a reference to Dawn Chorus - long rumoured to be the name of the band's ninth studio album.
