Lewis Capaldi has revealed he has Tourette's syndrome and has undergone Botox treatment to cope with his tics.
Tourette's syndrome is a disorder of the nervous system, that causes person to make involuntary sounds and movements, known as tics.
The singer opened up about his diagnosis in a recent Instagram Live, explaining that this is a “new thing” and he has not “really learnt much about it” yet.
Capaldi said that his does "a shoulder twitch quite a lot" and has received Botox injections in his shoulder to help with this.
Reflecting on the diagnosis, Capaldi said that it made "so much sense" and that he has apparently had Tourette's for all of his life.
The singer told his fans that “some days it’s more painful than others”, and that it “looks a lot worse than it is”.
Capaldi's new song "Forget Me" is due for release this Friday September 9th. He has recently posed in his underwear on a billboard to promote the new record.
