Jurors in a federal court have convicted singer R Kelly of racketeering in his sex trafficking trial.
Prosecutors had accused the singer of exploiting his stardom over 25 years to lure women and underage girls for sex.
The jury in the case had deliberated for just over a day before deciding to convict Kelly on all nine counts he faced.
The trial had heard testimony from dozens of woman and former employees about the r&b singer's behaviour.
Assistant US Attorney Maria Cruz Melendez argued that Kelly was a serial abuser who “maintained control over these victims using every trick in the predator handbook”.
He also faces charges in two other US states.
