Iggy Azalea sells a 'portion' of her back catalogue

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has revealed she's sold part of her music back catalogue.

The 'Work' superstar put the rumours to bed in a tweet yesterday, confirming she had sold some of her master recordings.

The Female Rap Room reported on Twitter that Azalea had “sold her master recording and publishing catalog(ue) to investment services firm Domain Capital for an eight-figure sum”.

Azalea then responded to a fan who expressed some concern about the deal.

The rapper assured fans that the sale of the recordings wasn't (a la Taylor Swift) due to an imminent or past dispute with labels or otherwise.

The deal with Domain Capital includes Azalea's master and publishing share of her biggest hits "Fancy," "Problem," and "Black Widow."

The rapper owns 100% of her label, Bad Dreams. In publishing, she's got an admin deal with Sony Music Publishing.
