Hollyoaks Actress Sarah Jayne Dunn has been dropped from the soap after she refused to remove content from adult subscription site Only Fans.
Dunn played the role of Mandy Richardson in the TV series from 1996-2011 and 2017 to 2021.
Two weeks ago the 40 year old actress took to Instagram to explain her decision to activate an Only Fans account, explaining she wished "to take back control" and to have "full power over her choices."

According to a statement issued by a Hollyoaks spokesperson to the Sun newspaper, the TV show bosses felt Dunn's decision was not in line with the show's demographic.
"We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites" they said. “We had hoped we could reach a resolution with Sarah that would allow her to remain in her role as Mandy, but we respect her choice to continue to produce content on OnlyFans."
Many fans felt the decision to remove Dunn from the show was unfair, particularly given the tone of photography used in Hollyoaks promotional calendars.

Sarah-Jayne Dunn has since thanked her fans on her social media for their support in her decision. Earlier in the week she wrote: "the amount of support I’ve received over the last week, following my decision to move some of my content onto a subscription platform, has been overwhelming! I am thrilled that the reasons behind my decision have been acknowledged, accepted and completely embraced and as I’d hoped have inspired many other women to own their power, dismiss judgement and embrace their feminine."
