With all this hot weather and endless sunshine, it can be easy to forget that there's more to our weekends then simply heading straight to the beach.
This weekend sees a host of quality free events hosted across the South East.
From battle reenactments to literacy festivals, June 15-18 is jampacked with events that won't empty your wallet.
Here's a list of our favourites...

Hosted by a group of local re-enactors, the The 1798 Battle of New Ross in which 3,000 people lost their lives will be staged from Mary Street to the Quay on Sunday from 2:00pm. Perfect for all history lovers.
2. Waterford City: Summer In The City - Duke Special at Art Beat / June 16 at 8pm

3. Tipperary: Sheila Stone - Charon's Boats / June 16 & 17 10am- 5pm
This chilling work by ceramic artist Sheila Stone pays tribute to the 5,000 lives lost on the Mediterranean in 2016. A reference to Charon – the boatman of Greek mythology who was paid to ferry the dead to the next life, the artwork references the mothers, fathers, children, grandmothers and grandfathers who paid for a doomed passage to a better life. On exhibition for a limited time only at The Source Arts Centre Thurles.
5,500 ceramic boats created by artist Sheila Stone went on view in UL on 1 December. Entitled Charon’s Boats - each represents a migrant life lost in the Mediterranean in the past year. @hea_irl @IrishUnis @THEA_Irl @InternationalUL pic.twitter.com/oUZqNekfhi
