Calvin Harris set to play first Scottish concert in six years

Calvin Harris has announced his first gig in his native Scotland after a six-year break.

The DJ and producer from Dumfries will headline a homecoming show at Hampden Park football stadium in Glasgow. Fans will see him perform on Friday, July 2nd this year.

The event will be his first in Scotland since he headlined the Saturday of the T in the Park festival, all the way back in July 2016.

The gig will also be his first at home since the pandemic brought the music industry into disarray, putting the brakes on a planned performance at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Dundee in 2020.

Adam Richard Wiles, known professionally as Calvin Harris, was born on the Anglo-Scottish border in the town of Dumfries.

Calvin Harris continues to be one of the world's most successful DJs, after humble beginnings on his I Created Disco album in 2007.

If you fancy heading along, tickets go on sale this Friday, March 4th on LiveNation.

Calvin Harris is also set to perform one of his biggest ever Belfast shows this summer, at Ormeau Park on Saturday, June 18th.
