US media are reporting it's following the reaction of audiences during test screenings, and the studio has decided to shelve the production completely.

According to Discussing Film on Twitter, Warner Bros Discovery decided to cancel the release of ‘BATGIRL’ as they are “committed to making DC titles big theatrical event films, and ‘BATGIRL’ isn’t that.”
The movie was filmed in Glasgow at an estimated cost of around 70 million dollars and featured Michael Keaton as Batman and Leslie Grace as Batgirl.
Fans of the character and the DC Universe are outraged about the film getting the boot, with some saying it's "disgraceful" to up-and-coming actress Leslie Grace.
If the rumors about Batgirl’s cancelled release are true, there is absolutely no excuse for that.
Leslie Grace deserves better. Brendan Fraser deserves better. Michael Keaton deserves better. The fans deserve better.

Insanely disrespectful to everyone involved with Batgirl to not at least release it on HBO Max. https://t.co/zY6oLuA6Y0

What do you think? was it harsh to pull the plug on the film?
