TAME IMPALA / JUNGLE / SKEPTA / TALE OF US / KIASMOS
BATTLES / FREDDIE GIBBS / BONDAX / KORMAC LIVE AV
Plus much more to be announced ….
Forbidden Fruit organisers say they'll announce something new every week from now until the festival kicks off.
They've added SKEPTA to the line up, one of the hottest rising stars of the grime world. The Guardian voted his track “Shut Down“ Track of the Year 2015. Skepta shook off the decadence that plagued grime’s lean years with this infectious triumph of self-rediscovery, in a year that saw the rapper love bombed by Kanye West and Drake.
FREDDIE GIBBS also joins the Saturday party. Emerging into the public consciousness around 2009, Freddie Gibbs gained a reputation for his gritty tales of life on the streets in the Midwest USA. He has worked with a host of impressive artists, including Pharrell Williams, Young Jeezy, Curren$y, Jadakiss, and Dom Kennedy. Freddie's studio album ESGN was released in 2013 to positive reaction and featured production by SAP and Tone Mason among others. His “Shadow of a Doubt” album last year saw him soar to new heights.
KORMAC LIVE AV from the Kormac’s Big Band fame is another addition. He presents a brand new live AV performance.
Tickets for Forbidden Fruit Saturday go on sale at 9am on Friday 11th March .
