Celine Dion's brother Daniel has died from cancer at the age of 59, just two days after the singer's husband died.
Both men had been battling throat cancer. Celine's husband Rene Angelil died on Thursday at the age of 73. The French version of The Huffington Post reported the news of Daniel’s death on Saturday morning, citing a family spokesperson.
The Las Vegas concert resident had tweeted details for her late husband’s funeral services less than a day ago. Celine Dion has yet to mention her brother’s passing on the social media website.
Daniel Dion was eighth in a family of 14. “He was ready and he no longer suffers,” his sister Claudette told Le Journal de Montréal. “It was serene.”
Following her husband’s death, Celine Dion canceled her Las Vegas Colosseum concerts this weekend.
