Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow heat warning for the entire South East.
The warning comes into effect from 12pm on Thursday and will remain active until Sunday, August 14th at 6 am.
According to the forecaster, people can expect "very warm or hot [weather] on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with maximum temperatures generally of 27 to 29 degrees."

They continued: "Warm at night with temperatures generally staying above 15 degrees. Daytime temperatures may not be as high in coastal areas due to sea breezes."
People are urged to stay vigilant of heat stress, particularly among venerable populations.
